Born in New York
Received undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1953. Graduated from New York University Law School in 1956 with a law degree and graduate degree (LL.M) in Taxation. Worked as a CPA and tax attorney for over 30 years before retiring and relocating to Delaware in 1986.
Established CandyLand Farm with wife Ellen in Middletown, DE. Campaigned stakes winners Cat Be Nimble, Surely Six, Time To Dream, Five Star Deputy and Scary Bob among many others.
Initiated the Stallion Season Auction with friend and neighbor Allaire duPont in 1990. Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) was founded in 1997 for the purpose of administrating the auction and directing the funds to several retirement and rescue organizations nationwide.
Also started The Moelis Family Foundation which grants funds to medical research, animal welfare and children’s health and education.
