TERF LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE AND ANNOUNCES APRIL 1 GRANT APPLICATION DEADLINE

February 19, 2020 – The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is proud to unveil its new website, terfusa.org. The website was launched with the overall goal of providing enhanced information about TERF, its mission and impact. TERF is also pleased to announce that its 2020 Grant application materials are now available on the TERF website. Applications are due April 1, 2020.

The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation’s mission is to support Thoroughbred health and welfare by funding scholarships, educational programs, and equine research; with a priority to make racing safer.  Since its inception, TERF has awarded over $ 700,000 grants to 80 unique organizations that reflect the values set forth by its founders and reaffirmed by TERF’s governing Board in the organization’s 2019 strategic plan. TERF will consider grant applications which focus on Equine Education, Equine Research, Veterinary Medicine Scholarships and the proper care of horses. TERF does not grant funds to facilities that care for unwanted (abused, neglected or abandoned horses) or retirement horses.

This year’s grant applications are due on April 1st. Any organization interested in submitting a grant application should visit TERF’s website at www.terfusa.org  for a full list of instructions and requirements.

TERF is a non-profit organization dedicated to its mission to provide material support to local, regional and national organizations that promote education and research to benefit the Thoroughbred horse.  To make a tax deductible donation to TERF, please visit https://www.terfusa.org/donate/ or send a donation to TERF c/o The Chester County Community Foundation, 28 West Market Street, West Chester, PA 19382.
